ExonHit Therapeutics reports reaching key milestone in blood-based Alzheimer's disease detection. Data presented at the 8th International Conference on Alzheimer and Parkinson diseases in Salzburg, Austria show that a panel of 60 biomarkers can clearly distinguish individuals with symptoms of Alzheimer's disease from individuals with no cognitive losses. A prospective clinical study will further define the specificity and selectivity of the markers identified. The company says these data will lead to development of novel diagnostic tests that will enable the detection of Alzheimer's disease from blood. For more,
